Financial leadership for investor-backed companies

nugrow is a finance partner based in Bochum for companies backed by private equity and venture capital investors. We provide interim CFO leadership, ongoing CFO as a Service, and operational support in accounting, controlling and reporting.

Sebastian Janus founded online footwear retailer Tredex in 2005. His subsequent career took him through the Runners Point group to Foot Locker. From 2013 to 2017, he served as CFO of Foot Locker Europe.com GmbH.

He founded nugrow in 2018. Today, nugrow supports investor-backed companies with interim CFO leadership, CFO as a Service and operational finance expertise.

The work combines financial planning, liquidity management, reporting and finance-team leadership with the requirements of management teams, investors and financing partners.

Financial leadership with operational responsibility

Companies with investors need reliable figures and financial leadership that takes operational responsibility. I founded nugrow to help build and run that finance function.

We work with management and existing finance teams on reporting, liquidity planning, financing and transitions. The engagement can be an interim CFO mandate, ongoing part-time leadership or a defined operational finance module.

Our experience spans 350 projects, including interim mandates and consulting projects such as digitalising a finance department. This includes working with common finance tools, from accounting and controlling to reporting.
